Ugh… seriously, I was actually feeling pretty good this morning, just a little sore, you know the sore that lets you know which muscles you worked, but makes you feel awesome? Yeah, then I did my workout this morning… now I feel like a rusty hinge that will seize up if I stop moving.
Stairs are going to be the death of me.
The best part of starting to work out again is that I don’t feel like such a waste of space in the morning. I’m starting to get my routine back! It’s simple, but once I finish my workout, I shower and get dressed and I’m ready for the day. That doesn’t always happen when I don’t work out. And I feel so much better about life when I’m clean and ready for what the day brings.
I know it’s only day 2 of getting back into it, but I already am having such a hard time staying motivated and talking myself into it every day. I
feel awesome when I do it, but it’s getting up to do it that hard, so I find myself revisiting my 10 Ways to Stay Motivated to Work Out.
I think it’s time to dust off my motivational stickers and get my sticker calendar back up! Woo Hoo! It’s so silly, but effective.
Anyway… the workout I did today was a “no equipment necessary” one, which are some of my favorite. You only need a little bit of space and internet connection (if you are using a video). I actually want to print off a collection of work out routines that I can do anywhere, even if there is no internet (gasp!).
How are everyone else’s New Years fitness goals going?
“Stay positive, work hard, make it happen! DON’T QUIT!”
Here’s the workout video I did today…
